Where To Go In Thailand?

I have visited Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok and many other cities in the Land of Smiles. My favorite is Khon Kaen. Khon Kaen is located about 55 minutes from the old Don Muang airport and is an excellent mix of old and new.

I can buy software and DVDs in the Oasis Mall or sit on a picnic table under a thatched roof overlooking the river while I eat my jumbo shrimp and drink a cold Singha. I may visit a number of temples or go to a disco. I can take the expatriates to the Sofitel Hotel or go to the night market at the university.

I can have dinner in a restaurant on the manal lake while half the city is jogging. I can go shopping in malls and outlet stores that compare to everyone in the United States. I even can call and have pizza or chicken delivered to my hotel room.

I will invest in some real estate in Khon Kaen during my next vacation. I want to rent a house and prepare for my retirement in about 2 years. From what I have seen online I can buy a brand new3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 2 story house for about 50.000 USD. That would be just enough for a down payment where I live in Hawaii.

Whatever you’re looking for, Thailand has it all. And it’ll be a lot cheaper than where you’re living now.

You can spend your days at the beach and your nights chasing dreams of teenagers in all the night clubs. Relax on a small island or go hiking in the jungle. Whatever you want to do, you can do it in Thailand.
